Bird's Nest Candy, recipes, easy microwave candy recipe, meet Gypsy the red Chihuahua

Bird's Nest Candy is one of the favorite holiday recipes at our house! The recipe contains only three ingredients and is so easy to make using the microwave we know it will become a perennial favorite at your house, too. If you have trouble finding the ingredients for this recipe, particularly the white chocolate, it is sometimes called "almond bark." It is usually located in your supermarket near the seasonal nuts and candied fruits used in traditional holiday recipes such as fruitcake and Christmas cookies. The beer nuts are usually found in small cans in the snack foods section. The package of stick pretzels used in this recipe come in boxes and are usually located near the individually packaged snacks used in packing lunches, etc. I have used regular sized pretzels broken into very small pieces which substituted very well. This easy microwave candy recipe can be made, start to finish in a matter of minutes and ready to travel with you to a holiday party in about an hour! We hope you try our holiday recipes and enjoy them. All of the recipes listed on our website have been tried and tested many times. We only showcase the recipes which has brought us the most positive feedback year after year.

1 pound white chocolate, sold in the block
1 small can beer nuts
1 small package stick pretzels, broken into small pieces

In micro-safe bowl, melt white chocolate in microwave about one minute on high. Do not burn! Chocolate will still look firm. Mix chocolate with nuts and pretzels and drop by tablespoons-full on waxed paper on cookie sheet. Chill till firm and store in airtight containers.

This delicious candy makes a nice hostess gift. Just place candy in a holiday themed container and add a pretty bow!
